Considered to be one of the best designed Motor Sailers ever built, the Fisher Sailing Yachts strength is renowned for being able to deliver her crew safely to any destination in the world.
The Fisher Sailing Yacht line is easy recognizable: The professional looking wheelhouse and a hull resembling a (Danish) fishing boat with rounded stern and high freeboard. The double masts with Ketch sailplan is another distinctive feature of the larger yachts in the Fisher line.
Fisher Yachts were originally built by Fairways Marine, a company founded by David Skellon in 1969. Now in 2014 David is back in control of Fisher and has once again breathed life into this iconic brand, revered for its seaworthiness and the ability to remain unflustered in extreme weather. These boats are the real deal for heavy weather Blue water Cruising. A boat that will take you anywhere.

Improvements after Purchase in August 2003
a) Replaced all primary and secondary wiring.
b) Rudder opened , checked and filled with solid compound
c) New Balmar Alernator - double belt
d) Removed propane cabin heater and refrigeration. together with all connections .
Installed new Force 10 3 burner propane stove and reworked venting for same.
e) Installed SS water and holding tanks. Water Tanks below floorboards.
f) Installed a direct fuel tank inspection plate in cockpit floor.
g) Removed main mast step on cabin deck and replaced it with a stainless steel
“ bridge “ mast step that sits on a forward bulkhead and runs aft to a compression
h) Installed “ 3 point “ through hulls for head intake and exhaust.
i) Checked and replaced stuffing box with “ dripless model “
J) Installed a set of ( 2 x 6v ) house batteries.
k) Removed old 120v battery charger and all associated wiring and installed
new solid state charger.
l) Installed engine access hatch under stairs, forward face of engine bulkhead.
k) Replaced all engine hoses and belts.
l) Checked all pilot house and cabin flooring and supports. Made new floor hatches
for better engine access, sheeted floors with teak and holly plywood.
m) Installed Vetus bow thruster
n) Installed and swung binnacle compass.
o) Removed old instrumentation and wiring. Installed all new instruments
GPS, wind, speed, depth sounder and nav computer hookup.
p) Installed 4000 inverter
q) Checked and refitted all fuel line connections.
r) Opened pilot house ceiling, removed all old 12v wiring, scraped out mildew,
Removed all inner wall lining and scraped out mildew, sanitised and painted
s) Installed new Shaefer boom and new sail - Aug 2012
t) Dismantled and checked both masts and booms. Checked for corrosion – found none, painted them and replaced sheaves where necessary. Replaced all running rigging.
