This has to be one of the best long term cruising layouts of any boat on the market. The Bayliner 4588 Motoryacht features liveaboard comfort and elegant cruising, including accommodations to sleep six, a spacious salon and a full galley. The pilothouse features a fully-instrumented helm.
During Bayliner’s 40-year history, the Washington-based company has also delivered more boats in the 30-foot-plus range than most other yacht manufacturers combined. And Bayliner is a big-time big boat builder, too. For a decade, the flagship of the company’s fleet was a 45 foot pilothouse motoryacht called the 4588. Between the model’s debut in 1984 and its retirement in 1993, Bayliner built and sold nearly 400 examples of this vessel. The 4588 was a success for a simple reason: It was a lot of boat for the money. And for that matter, it still is — as a used boat.
It’s also a lot of boat for an overall length of just 45 feet, 4 inches.
